Job DescriptionJob DescriptionThe Project Engineer leads projects using process and project management principles to meet project deliverables of cost, time, and performance in alignment with the Alpine Equipment business objectives and goals.
The position develops new products and sustains existing product lines.
The Project Engineer guides engineering design from concept design through implementation into production which includes analyzing, understanding design requirements, designing components to meet requirements, and testing the system to validate the design.
Primary
Responsibilities:
Manages multiple projects or programs which affect meeting critical business objectives by applying process and project management principles to meet project deliverables of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and performance.
Responsible for creating concept design, 3D CAD modeling, converting into manufacturing prints, preparing bills of materials and releasing them through the engineering change release process.
This includes performing advanced modeling and problem solving e.
g.
, FMEA, FEA, DFM, etc.
Defines the project critical path and appropriately directs the assigned resources to meet the established objectives.
Proactively resolves project and resource issues by involving appropriate stakeholders.
Makes product design decisions to meet requirements or specifications.
Is the design and technical expert for product and/or product platforms, and autonomously solves design issues.
Verifies and demonstrates fit, form, and function using CAD layouts and prototype parts.
Performs tolerance analysis and assembly stack-up analysis.
Directs design changes to assure deliverables meet schedule and specifications.
Identify root cause to problems.
Collaborates with the Software team to evaluate component and system performance and independently analyzes test results.
This includes developing validation plans to ensure product function.
Provides recommendations to improve designs or test methods where required.
Critically evaluates data and recommends future activities, follow-up testing, and analysis.
Communicates through all levels of the organization.
Provides project updates to Leadership and collaborates with product manager on product road maps and strategy.
Up to 20% travel required.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
