As we expand our operations, we are seeking a highly qualified Trade Compliance Manager to join our team.
The Trade Compliance Manager will serve as the key subject matter expert on trade compliance matters within the company.
This position will be responsible for overseeing all trade compliance functions across the organization, including import and export compliance support, adherence to Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), and other relevant laws and regulations.
The Trade Compliance Manager will play a vital role in ensuring our company's compliance with all trade laws and regulations.
As the Trade Compliance Manager, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, acting as the company's Empowered Official for EAR and ITAR activities and execute day-to-day trade compliance activities.
Your expertise will be instrumental in developing, implementing, maintaining, and enhancing compliance policies, procedures, work instructions, training materials, and SOPs.
You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with all import and export laws will be critical to your success.
You will work closely with freight forwarders, customs brokers, government agencies, outside counsel, subsidiaries/related companies, and various functional areas within the company to maintain compliance at all levels.
To be successful in this role, you should have a bachelor's degree in international business or a related field and possess at least 10 years of experience in import and export, international trade, or supply chain.
In-depth knowledge of relevant government agencies and software is crucial.
A Customs Broker License would be preferred, and bilingual is a plus.
