Summary:
Seeking a Digital Design FPGA Engineer with Cost Account Management and supplier manage experience.
Major tasks include supplier management and oversight as well as system integration and test support.
Additional activities include design evaluation, coordination of test activities among across various functions, provide inputs to formal documentation, and support of system/subsystem/component trade studies.
Candidate must have experience in design and formal qualification with custom electronic/FPGA and transition them into production with suppliers.
Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or related degrees, 6 years of prior relevant experience Excellent oral and written communication skills required Abilities to travel as required (Job role require > 50% travel to supplier site location - Alabama and other potential location like Boston or California at the regular basis) Digital Design skills including FPGA development (AMD/Xilinx, Microchip/Microsemi Intel/Altera), hardware desciption languages VHDL and Verilog, simulation tools (Questa or VCS) FPGA verification architecture development experience Minimum of 6 years in FPGA Implementation Experience, FPGA board bring-up Proficient in programmable logic development and simulation languages:
VHDL, Verilog, System Verilog scripting and simulation skills Proficient in programmable logic development and simulation tools:
synthesis, backend FPGA development, timing constraints, simulation and debugging Experience with design documentation and configuration management Work with functioning in multi-disciplinary design teams across multiple projects Preferred Quaifications:
Hardware design and/or testing experience CAM experience Proficient with UVM (Universal Verification Methodology) Proficient with SystemVerilog FPGA Implementation on Radar design application High Speed Signal Integrity Analysis IPC specifications and Board House manufacturing techniques for high speed electronics Specification Development for system high speed communication in serial interfaces Schematic and layout (Siemen Xpedition is a plus) Git, Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence for source control, issue tracking and documentation
Responsibilities:
Travel up to 50% to suppliers and be on site full time Designs are verified against requirements using both directed test and continuous testing methodologies with supplier Support all aspects of CCA / FPGA design with suppliers team Assist design support from requirements definition through integration and test, with supplier Work with CCA/FPGA Debug, Test and Evaluation team at suppliers location Support CCA/FPGA test procedure development with supplier Expected to provide solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity Frequently use and application of technical standards, principles, concepts and techniques Be self motivated to work and ask questions with supplier.
